Lee Valley White Water Centre

We took a family ride out this morning as we've always wanted to check out the Lee Valley White Water Centre which is around a 1/2 hour from our home.

It's easy to find and very accessible from the A10 / M25 junction 25.

The parking was really easy and as you would expect from an Olympic Venue,  the facilities are first class with a great terrace to watch the goings on with a drink. The food being served looked delicious and there was even a small park for the children.

It's part of the Lee Valley Park, which has plenty of walks and cycle tracks and there were lots of places to secure bikes so if you're feeling fit it's definitely a place to visit.

The centre caters for all levels of ability, and we spent time watching the single kayakers (young and older) going through their paces, but I have to say that the most thrilling to watch was the whitewater rafts.

Please check out their website for more information if you are interested - we'll certainly be having a go. They're also on Facebook!

A few pictures of the excitement.
